Havarti stuffed beef burgers with Artisan Potato Chips

Recipe & Styling Marisa Curatolo

A premium beef burger with all the trimmings. It’s easy to make this GF by leaving out the breadcrumbs and swapping the bun for lettuce.

Ingredients

1 ½ pounds lean premium ground beef

1 egg

¼ cup dry breadcrumbs

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon Worcestershire

3 ounces Havarti cheese, sliced into 1/4-inch high pieces

6 - 8 soft Artisan hamburger buns, toasted

1 tomato, sliced, to serve

½ red onion, sliced, to serve

1 head of Iceberg lettuce, to serve

Preparation

In large bowl, whisk together egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, pepper, salt and Worcestershire. Mix in beef. Form into 6 patties, pressing to about ½-inch thick. Insert piece of cheese in center of patty and cover with the ground meat, pressing to flatten.

If grilling, heat grill to medium-high heat. Place burgers on well-oiled grill rack. Grill burgers 7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. You can also use a heavy bottom skillet stovetop drizzled with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss sweet potatoes, and all ingredients in large bowl. Spread in an even layer on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in oven 15-20 minutes or until slightly soft inside and lightly crisp outside.

To serve, place burgers on toasted buns and garnish with tomato, lettuce, red onion, and serve with potao chips. Serves 4 - 6.
