Tamarind chutney

Here, we teach you how to make-ahead a delicious homemade tamarind chutney which makes all the difference.


Ingredients

½ cup seedless tamarind paste

1 cup hot water

1 teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground fennel

2 teaspoons garlic, minced

1 jalapeno, minced


Preparation

In small pot, bring tamarind and water to boil. Remove from heat, cover, and let cool. Push mixture through large strainer discarding strings or pods if any. Reserve strained paste and chill before serving.
