Getting Organized
1. Store Your Weekly DinnerPlan.
Every Friday before noon EST, you’ll receive an email with a link to your member area, where you can download that week’s DinnerPlan. It was designed to fit your smartphone, so download it there and save it to your iBooks on your phone. We suggest moving your iBooks App to your phone’s home screen so that your DinnerPlan is always at your fingertips.
No more grocery shopping without a shopping list, it’s right there on your phone.
The DinnerPlans will always be saved in your member area as well.
2. Clean Up Your Fridge
Download Mari’s Life-Changing Fridge Make-over here.
If it’s not gold, it goes–just get rid of it. That grated Parmesan cheese hiding in the back, it’s gone. That ancient box of baking soda, gone.
Pull out the shelves and give them a good wash. Follow Mari’s fridge make-over guide attached above. Give that fridge a big hug—it’s just become your best friend!
Check out our Amazon Shop for Fridge organization tools, you can order and get started today.
3. Detox Your Pantry
Stock your pantry with fresh, real ingredients—ditch anything older than a few months and avoid processed foods like store-bought sauces, soups, and pre-made mixes (except chips and popcorn for treats!). We'll guide you to replace only what you need with simple, homemade staples like tomato sauce. Use fresh herbs daily: basil, thyme, cilantro, parsley, sage, rosemary, dill. Replace dry spices every six months for best flavor, avoid pre-mixed blends, and blend spices fresh when cooking. Buy sealed spices and store them in labeled jars. Check our updated Amazon Shop for trusted sourcing.
4. Check Your Kitchen Tools
A good cook doesn’t need many special tools, but cooking is more enjoyable with quality kitchen essentials. My knife bar makes me feel like a chef, and my Le Creuset cast iron skillet, though an investment, is used daily and still looks new. A sharp chef’s knife and paring knife are must-haves, along with a few quality pots. The Microplane and lemon reamer are non-negotiable, but gimmicks like garlic presses should be tossed. We regularly update a list of our favourite kitchen tools, all available in our Amazon Shop.
